After graduating in May 2022 from my Masters' program I decided that I wanted to spend time exploring some of my other passions before persuing an Engineering career.
Ski Season 2022-2023
Level 2 Certified Ski Instrcutor
Skiing is one of my favorite things in the world, so when I got the opportunity to work at Vail, I leapt at the chance! I spent seven months sharing my love of the sport and the outdoors with kids and adults while racking up 1.5 million vertical feet and 140 ski days. I took advantage of Vail's incredible training program to be the best instructor I could be and completed four certifications, culminating in my PSIA Alpine Level 2 in a single season!
Summer 2023
Backpacking Europe and the Middle East
After the ski season, I embarked on a 3-month backpacking trip around the Mediterranean, inspired by my passion for history and the ancient world. I began in Italy, spending three weeks traveling from Milan to Naples. From there, I explored Athens, Crete, Thessaloniki, and Mount Olympus in Greece, and then journeyed to Egypt, enduring the scorching heat of Cairo and Aswan in July. I also visited Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in Israel, and ventured into Jordan, where I stayed in Wadi Rum and Petra. After approximately three and a half weeks, I returned to Europe, spending a week in Istanbul and another exploring Anatolia in Turkey. I then continued my journey through the Balkans, traveling by bus across Albania, Montenegro, and Croatia for two weeks. Finally, I concluded my adventure by resting in Vienna, taking a 13-hour train to London, and spending the last few days relaxing in London and Manchester before flying back to New York.
